Yup got the towbar but am keeping it, probably go on my ute for the novelty but never get used, still would be handy to be able to tow a small trailer and save the back of the ute.

Still have the ute also, am just getting the last things I want and the will probably post on here.

Its pretty bad though, lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of rust.

Took it for a test drive (went way too fast) when I bought it without really having a good look, got it home and almost s**t myself when I realised how dangerous it was the NSF tower has actually moved in about 5cm or so because there is no metal left in the corner where it meets the scuttle panel/firewall to hold it in place.

do you still have the tow bar?
how much did the scrap yard give you for the ute?

Yeah its a shame to let it go to waste though.

Someone put a lot of effort into this car at one time.

Good spotting, the tailgate lock/latch is actually a really good idea even though it was done a bit rough and could be inproved on.

I was going to post some photo's but didn't think anyone would be interested, I will take some tomorrow and post it on a new thread now that you have mentioned it.

He also had a great towbar setup, that you couldnt even tell was on the car until you lifted up the number plate, courtesy I think of an old HQ holden or similiar rear number plate/fuel filler flap.

looks like a cool setup, might be hard finding a buyer though, i dont think many use 1200 utes for work anymore.

the tailgate latch looks pretty creative aswell!

Guys, this is fittted to a parts car I bought, I have no use for it but I thought others might.

It is pretty cool actually, doors are fitted with gas struts and solenoid operated locks so it opens remotely.

The tool box and front carry rack isn't welded in or anything it is just tailor made to fit and only needs the wiring disconecetd to remove, The back rack is bolted in.

Sold my old parts car (got to always have one) to the recyclers the other day and he offered me $100 for it just as scrap aluminium so its got to be worth more than that.

PM me any offers if you are interested.
