My original windshield is pitted but not cracked, so I bought this one to replace it when I get around to painting my coupe. I hadn't even considered getting the seal yet.

Does the chrome strip around the seal transfer from the original?

I forgot to mention that the windshield showed up today in good nick. They had it in a crate that was about 4 times bigger than necessary!

BTW,
Pilkington has one couple windshield left. I did order one from them. It should be here this week or early next week. I really hope it arrives in one piece..

And thanks EDP for the heads up! I really appreciate it.

A sedan windshield popped up on Ebay.au a while back for about $85usd. I asked about shipping to the US and she said the cheapest whould be around $300 to $350.
I was a little bummed.

Sounds like a good opportunity for a group buy?

Well I am just assuming that Shipping from Australia to USA would be over $200, let alone the price of the glass. Maybe we should get a shipping quote.

In USA no glass shop carries -- or can get -- sedan glass.

BTW, reported by newspaper: B140 production is scheduled to be replaced by the new pickup in July. Although previously they reported end of year, and that has come and gone...

The Sedan glass is the same as the Ute glass. which is still in production, as we all know. ~AU$180

Not sure why getting a Sedan windshield is a problem. Certainly is no problem in Australia.

Thanks, and YES that's a good price. I contacted PPG once, and they sell them for $400-something plus shipping

Duncan -
Pilkington Classics
4458 Alum Creek Drive, Unit C
Columbus, OH. 43207

800 848 1351

Make sure its the Classic division

Part # FW00237 coupe shield - have them confirm it, I paid $150 plus $100 frt & tax.

I think the glass for my 02 GMC is about $400 so I thought it was a great deal for an obsolete part.

Good luck!
