what do you mean by electric? all tachometers in the 1200 are electric.

if you plan to run a tacho with the CA then you will need to use 4 diodes and bridge all the coil earths to use as the signal wire for the tacho.

as for the differences, clutch, cams, compression ratio... i'm sure others know alot more than me.

not sure about the taco but ca and ca turbo same block the differance is on the inside of motor hope it helps

Hey guys just a quick question for you. will an electronic tacho work in my 1200? also another question a little ledft field. will a ca18de fit into the same mounts etc as a ca18det? what would i need to change when doing the swap?
