No worries chris. ill just have to teach you how to use a ringfeeder first! haha.
Ill get some pics when i am back home and post em somewhere. Probally on face book or something. Ill let you guys know when I do.
The donk fits in there as if it was factory! The only gripe that I have about the whole conversion is the clutch setup. It requires the full pedal length to engage/disengage. Not a biggie, you just have to be aware of it.
Overall it was the best decision that I have made with it. Worth every penny, ahh a lot of pennies.
As far as suspension goes, I have a DX ute which means leaf rear end. Yeah they are designed to carry load, so with nothing in the back, they are pretty stiff. With a load in the back, its smooth as. If it was coil all round, I would be happy as a pig in the proverbial.
Burke a lot, this is a GU so it came with a TD42, the turbo 4.2l inline diesel. My old patrol was a GQ, but that as a L28 petrol till I did the conversion on that one. That was a mild 253, but my god did it love to rev. 7000rpm for a 253 aint bad, and it loved it!
In my opinion, Landcruiser utes have nothing on Patrols. I drive the tojos every day at work, and i would never own one. The wagons i might consider, but the patrols are soo much nicer inside.

Some pics of it would be awesome, I've got a brand new patrol here as a company car and it's got the stock 4.2ltr not TDI.
Sounds like a f'in beast, they're a nice car and like you said I think it'd behave even better with the big donk.
Did you have a problem with the suspension in your patrol when it was new? It is REALLY REALLY springy, we have had to put a couple hundred kilos of sand (bags) in the tray so it didn't feel like you were riding skippy the roo.
