You won't be getting a good job for anything less.

It's like the saying:

Quick, cheap & reliable. Pick two.

- If you want something quick & reliable it won't be cheap.

- If you want something cheap & quick it won't be reliable.

- If you want something reliable and cheap it won't be quick.

cost associated with an engine conversion to CA? where do you start?

diff: best bet and what most people are using is a shortened R31 diff. or the standard ute diff but its not as strong, or a shortened hilux diff

gearbox most people go a manual ca18 box, but i am using a ca20 auto box. uses one less computer is hydraluic. and makes the gear changes alot smoother.

costs you can look at peoples costs as its different for every person.

as this is my first real project car i dont want it to be shyte so i want a good job done. i dont want to be paying 5 grand but am not looking to do everything on the cheap. id be glad to pay 2000 to 3000 on it so i suppose that would get me a reasonable job done.

when getting a car painted it can cost anywhere between 500 to 5000 it all depends on the quality......the age old saying 'you get what you pay for' is just so correct. it all depends on your budget is

i had a hard time trying to find a joint that would even want to look at my ute, so i did it myself. sure its no awesome professional job, it came out ok enough for me and now i can say my car was 100% done by me.
