haha dont worry its not to far off topic its still all 1000 talk anyway the h150 should be fine unless you really thrash it if you break it source a ute diff simple

Okay, The A14 has got a decent cam, the head is getting ported soon with bigger valves, JTS ignition and two 40mm side draughts.

I won't drive it too hard but I'd hate to give it a bit of stick down main street and have the diff fail!

Cheers, sorry 1000wagon little bit of thread hijacking. Back to topic.

In regards to the H150 diff, you shouldn't have to much of a problem as the A14/15 came in the sunny and they only have a H150.

yeh thanks for the comments guys...
for the diff i am wanting to use a h165 that i have and it has discs i was going to get it shortened but i was told by a few forum members that the axles are to small to respline but using trx bluebird axles would solve this (they are disc rear end and are h190)
and as for the vannete you need bigger upper and lower ball joints and tie rods ends and then have to modify it a bit and also it would give you about 3 deg of negative camber not to ideal for a streeter! maybe for a race 1000?

Nice work man, keep the 1000 on the road. I'm going an A14 with twin Mikuni's on my 1000. Should be painting by the end of next week.

What are you doing about the diff? I haven't look into those vanette brakes yet have you?

I'm a bit worried about the diff on mine, even the H150 might not cut it. Could use a late 1200 ute diff/axle aseembly but its a bit wider...flares maybe.

Good work man.
