Ahhhhh, now understand, you have a complete air filter assembly with your later type GX induction but it has a damaged cover, probably in the same place as this one & you want an undamaged cover. You are prepared to buy a whole assembly if necessary, but it's just this cover piece that you need.

Yes, in that position I would pass on this 1200 one also.

This one is an original 1200 GX item for the round top carbs, the later A12 [120Y- B210] with square top carbs had a different plate on this side with more fittings.

You can always repair some minor damage on one that you have, but it's hard to fit the perfect one that you don't have.

Good luck finding an undamaged one for this price or less, it would seem that you might need it.

I have a spare top/cover that is damaged in the same location but was lucky enough to find another undamaged one eventually. If I hadn't bought the whole thing with the damaged [but fixable] cover, the spare top/cover would have been no use to me when I found it & I would be like you, ...... still looking for an air filter assembly.

For the record, this cover piece is the same for both 1200 & 120Y GX models, it's the base plate [& paint colour] that changed.
