Gas struts raise the front up a little. They are generally quite stiffer as well.

For alternative choices, see: club wiki - strut inserts

The standard 120Y strut inserts are T1 type which are 38.1mm in diam and have a body length of 418mm.
The Commodore is a T6 type, 44.5mm diam and 405mm long.
By stronger do you mean heavy duty?
Why not consider the Monroe Gas Pressurised for example, P/N 25-3418.

Hi Guys
I am looking at putting stronger inserts into some 120y struts . In an old post I found a reference to commodore inserts being used but they are a tight fit.
Has anybody fitted these into 1200 struts and if so how tight a fit are they?
Any other inserts from another vehicle worth contemplating ?
Thanks
Bob
