why utes? not 2 door sedans?
The diff center (pumpkin/3rd-member/ring & pinion/CWP) is different from 1970-1973 1200s and newer ones.

Newer ones use a larger heavier-duty differential, the H165, which some Vanettes use. Other Vanettes have an H190 so that doesn't fit any 1200s not even later utes.

are you talking about 1000 2 door sedan? i was going to put a ute diff in my 1000, becauser the A14 turbo kept spiting axels and diff like there was no tomorrow, the H165 is wider than the 1000 diff, i'm told that the 120y diff centre fits with a 2mm spacer, that will make the diff a bit stronger. to fit a H165 in a 1000 you will need to get a bluebird diff and get it shortened and new axels made up, other wise run flairs on the rears.

Hi
Vanette diff centres will fit ute rear ends (H165 diff). They are 4.8755 ratio.
Have just bought one last weekend.
Good luck finding one
Cheers
Bob
