Why thank you Mr datto1000wagon...

Yes I have done the swap, and it's actually not as difficult as people think it is. It's asif the motor was made for this car. The diff you don't have to change right away, mine has the original BW in, and apart from spinning either of the wheels through most of the gears, it's held up quite well. I'm now in the process of locking it and trying to get as much/little time out of it as possible.

If you leave the diff in tact for a start, you won't have to change the entire propshaft, you only need to have the front uni changed to fit whatever gearbox you will be using. Apparently the K/T50 gearboxen bolt straight up to these motors. I used a W58 Celica/Supra box, as I was always going to make as much power with it as I can.

One more thing, if you do open the motor up for a fresh set of bearings and gaskets, do yourself a favour and install a restrictor in the in the oil gallery which supplies oil to the head. Bring the hole down from 6mm to 3-3.5mm. These motors have a tendancy to pump all the oil into the head and starve the bottom end, handing you dead bearings rather soon. The oil hole is in the front of the block under where the dizzy sits, or would sit.

Just ask if you need to know anymore, I'll give you as much info as I have available.

there are a few that have done this conversion and the one i know most about is from one of our south africa members as far as i know you have to change engine and gearbox mounts im pretty sure the gearbox fits with no problems maybe a little bashing with a hammer and cutting to get the shifter in the right place, shortened/modified tailshaft and a different diff as i dont think the original would probably be upto scratch and you would also be after a lsd? the rest would be wiring up the motor and a few other things
this is basicly what you are looking at to get the motor into the car then you have to get the rest of the car to be able to handle the increase of power so suspension and brake mods would be a must
[edit] send an email to kululadotgroen he has done the conversion and i found he is very helpful

Hi there, Datsun lovers!
I'm Bruno, a 22 y/o team leader from Portugal.
I have a black 1985 Corolla GT (AE86) and soon a 2 door Datsun B110.

So my question goes for this:

I have recently swapped my original 4A-GE bluetop with a rebuilt redtop so the bluetop is left alone, I want to use it on the future B110.
Is there any information online I could use to help myself doing this swap?
I know some people have done it but I can't find anything about it... :(
Can you people help me out?
I would be so apreciated.

To finish this post, I must say this is a really cool forum.
Never thought there would be this kind of enthusiasm over the Sunny. :)
