Yes, it is a pure bolt in -- EXCEPT for the rear crossmember. Which is a simple flat metal fabrication. A hacksaw a drill may be used to create that piece.

You do not need to swap the clutch disk. The 60-series 5-speed is compatible with the original Datsun 1200 clutch disk. Only However the 63-series 5-speed uses a different disk.

I bolted in both A14/A15 with the 5-speed, so the flywheel, motor plate and release bearing all matched.

I suspect if you keep the original A12 engine, you will need to use the release bearing/sleeve assembly from your original transmission on the 5-speed.

Wiki has more details.

Thanks all. I have heard conflicting stories on the 60 Series 5 spd swap into a 1200. If I can bolt the 5-spd straight into the 1200 that would be great. I *think* I read somewhere that the T.O. bearing and carrier has to be changed along with the clutch disc. (BTW, at this time I plan on keeping the A12 motor in there)

I was speaking with Angelo at JCCS and he did his so long ago, he didn't remember, but he seems to recall that he just bolted it in and went down the road.

I need to look at Wiki and see what's in there regarding this swap. I haven't read it in a while.

Hi Duncan,
I have the throw out bearing carrier and bearing (SKF pn VKC3500) but no clutch fork (Sorry cut it up!) out of a B110 Coupe 4sp. I had a look in Wiki and it reads to me that it will fit as the boxs are an in out swap. It made no mention of substitutions or modifications. You are welcome to it if you are sure it will fit and you want to pay postage from OZ to US. ECI Parcel A$60. Send PM with address if you want it.

Don't know for sure, but I'd be surprised if 4 and 5 speed arms differed.

There's a good change the 56-series (stock Datsun 1200 tranmission) arm will fit too. I would definitely try that first. Because the release bearing collar/sleeve is different lengths, differ between A12 and newer engines to match the thicker flywheel.

Thanks Pepper. I have a Morris Minor and I'm on a few UK boards, so I get the terminology confused on a regular basis.

Looking for a release bearing sleeve and a withdrawal lever for a 60's Series transmission. (In the US we call it a clutch fork and throw-out bearing)

Does anyone know if these parts from the 4 spd and 5 spd 60's Series are the same? (I assume they are)

Thanks!
