The 'turbo' is simply one of the several different forms of supercharging & the only one that does not use some form of direct mechanical drive.

Ok, agreed.

ddgonzal is technically right. in 2 stroke engines that have the stinger exhaust system they are also referred to as supercharged.

Technically, any turbocharged engine is supercharged. But if you mean which 1.2 or 1.4 Nissan engine has a non-turbo supercharger, none that I have heard of.

The March MA09ERT had a compound supercharging with both belt driven and turbo driven superchargers. So it is a turbo engine. And also has the AMR500 blower too.

I have to disagree with you a bit, though I understand what you mean. Any supercharged and turbocharged engine might be forced induction, but there is a technical difference between supercharging and turbocharging.

When you mean turbo, you say turbocharging.

When you mean supercharger, you say supercharging.

If you start interchanging the two terms people are going to become confused about what you're talking about.

But as always that's just my opinion, and nobody has to pay any attention to it.

No. there is one. A jap import that comes with an Asin AMR500 supercharger. A little version like the one off a subaru 660cc motor.
