Yeh i lipped the guards with a hammer and dolly before i painted the car. They came out real nice and used minimal filler too.

Ill just drive it and if i see that copper again ill cop it sweet. No reason why it wont pass roadworthy with a set of skinnyer wheels on it.

If the rims stick out then I suggest rolling the guards with one of those bolt on jap rollers that also have a lever to pump the guards also. The paint might crack though but I suggest you put a thin film of FRP filler on the guards to strengthen them and get rid of any inperfections also. Its worth keeping the wheels they look awesome. 175/50 would look insane also.

You could also put on chrome U plastic trimming about halve a cm in width. I had them on for RWC on my 2 door sedan as the lipped guards could slice pedestrians when its parked so I removed them when it was RWC to make sure no one got too close

The 1000 I built has 195 's on 7 " on the front rims they stuck out a bit just buy taping the lips a bit and pulling them out away from the tyre by hand they sit perfect to the naked eye you couldn't tell they have had work done on them

You got the deepest dish pair I had, all the others were like the ones on the front of your car, so there should be someone out there willing to trade for the "cooler" deep dish pair.

Hmm camber may be a option. The rims stick out too, The tyres are already inside the rim. I got new 185s not 175s because of price and im a bit tight atm.

I think what ill do is just drive it and risk it. I mean its not gonna be hard to get over the pits with a set of stockies on.

Cheers for the input guys!
