just to let you know i just got off the phone with qld t'sport and i was told i have 3 options with compliance.

1. you can have the paperwork on the modfications pre approved by a qualified inspector. this is useful if you can get the info before buying. Then go on to step 2 or you can start at step 2 if you've already bought the vehicle.

2. the paperwork has to go to qld t'sport for 3-4 weeks where they will check and accept on a reciprocal arrangement or tell you what you need to do.

3. go thru the mod.plate process from scratch.

good to know.

If the engineer that engineered the car is recognised in whichever state you are bringing the car into you can just transfer the engineer's certificate over for a fee

not quite so simple.
you have to re-register the car as if it was never regoed before.
which means- rego, and a mod plate aswell.
last time i got a mod plate he was charging about 100 dollars per item. can get a bit expensive.

Hey. I guy that used to come on here built it. If you search for the member DVLDAT or CYA-18T it should come up with a fair bit of info on it.

It would be up there with the fastest cars I've seen go down the straight at Wakefield It should run in the 10's with that kinda power.

Cant see $19,500 in it

Well if your buying it from another state ( you dont have your state in ya profile Your choice of course) you will have to get it Engineered again Shouldn't be to much drama if all done well but its an extra expense as well as Re registering since you cant transfer rego from state to state anymore. So i reckon you could get one in your state all engineered and with rego for a better price. Check Ebay and Carsales.com.au
