Goin to put a sodium type battery with the breather tube through the floor to vent any fumes outside the cabin. As done on the BMW, VE Commodore etc.

Got approval for this and only $150 for a battery compared to 300-400 for oddysee or optima.

i have a similar battery in my boot, paid $150 mine though. they are good cos they dont gas you out and are 100% legal

my batt is in the back of the ute
much better to get stuff out of the engine bay and more kgs on the back wheels

on my 180sx the fmic mean the batterie has to be much smaller than the stock one so i went to repco agen and got the smallest batterie they sold works fine for me i have a normal cdplayer if you have subs ect ect it maybe to small

Hey PerthUte, was the battery you got a similar size to the odyssey PC680?

The reason for the skinny battery is so we can run intercooling piping through the front panel.

I've thought a few times that routing the piping through the drivers side inner guard may have been a better idea. That side is 'very busy' in a 1200.

the 680 is fine for a ca18 buy I can't comment on quality of that brand. I use a chinese made pulse on mine after the odyssey died.

Need a battery for the CA and it will be inside the cabin. Check out the link below, would one of these be ok. Lot cheaper than optima or oddysy. No stereo etc in this car either.
