lol well when the name came to me i was actually thinking about one of these wich is named merlin!

but as the trains designer was an avid twitcher they named most the class after his fave birds so in a way yes merlin is infact named after the falcon albiet indirectly.Quote:

im a sucker for its looks, i intend on treating him well his names merlin is there anything i should be watching out for or anything? boot is stiff to open and thats all ive found wrong with it so far ive checked oil inspected for oil leaks signs of tampering looked as close as poss for rust but will inspect it better tomorrow

So you know absolutely nothing about it but bought it anyway.

Talk about a leap of faith.
Try opening the bonnet. Inside you should find an engine. If it's turned sideways, then it's a front drive car, but if it's installed in line, facing the front, then you can be pretty sure it's a rear drive model.

While you're there, find the manufacturers build plate on the firewall, & any other tags that you can see as well.
From these you will learn the factory model code of the car as well as the engine type & capacity. You may even find the manufacturers build date as well.

just bought this, saw it on autotrader and had to buy it paid 940, 2 owners, 35k on clock (altho numbers dont completely line up) just drove it from 300odd miles from to my home in surrey england without any probs. couple of scuffs or apperent laquer isue on drivers door and rear o/s 1/4(not seen it in daylight yet tho) its silvery with cool red and black stripes

HOWEVER..

i know nothing about it, no idea what model, engine, type, mk, whats available for it, history about it, dont even know whether its rwd or what?
