Yep i can confirm that! those secondaries suck alot of juice when your giving it a bootfull! and its hard not to give it a bootfull after you install a webber, soooooo much better than the hitachi set-up.
when i took mine into a mate to tune, he said that typically it's the next jet size up or down depending on the carby and what it was tuned for, mine wwas off a 2lt escort so he down sized the jet from memory.

i've found fitting a 32/36 generally increases consumption significantly...

due to the noise it makes and power it has with secondaries wide open, you'll find yourself giving the old beast a lot more stick than before

has it been jetted for an a-series before or still running 2ltr ford setup?

Yes, that's normal. If carefully tuned, it will get close to the stock fuel economy. The carburetor can be way rich and still drive "good". If you tune it, it will still drive good *and* get economy at the same time. This is mostly about the jets and air bleeds, but the float level should also be checked.

hey all, just put a weber 32/36 carby on the 120y and it is drinking petrol. way way more then i expected.. is this normal?? i tjhought maybe i should adjust the fuel pump or sumthing along those lines?? maybe change jettings, but it runs fine?? any help is appretiated.
