The grille that you have is a sedan type, but it would seem that your car is a coupe.

Coupes & the Utes that used the plastic coupe grille have one mounting arrangement & the early metal grille has another.

I 'believe' that this facelift grille will interchange with the earlier metal grille but I an quite sure that it won't interchange on the coupe/late Ute, as you are now finding out.

See if someone with a sedan will let you compare the mounting of this grille with their mounting points.
If you were told that this will fit a coupe then there are a few possibilities.
1. The seller lied.
2. The coupe in question had been repaired with a sedan type Radiator Support Panel.
3. The coupe had been modified to take this grille & the seller didn't know.
4. If it's a South African grille it could be from a 1974 or later 1200. I have a funny feeling that they used this grille in these later coupes over there. If this is true, then the South African coupes, after 1973 may well have been built with the sedan RSP to allow this grille to be used.

P.S. It looks like the South African factory did not build the B210 model at all but continued 1200 production untill at least 1975.

yeah that looks pretty whacky

how the hell will a headlight fit in that, looks like the grill sits 6inches forward of where headlight is

and there appears to be no mounting holes for top

thats nothing like a coupe grill
