should be able to get thread adaptors for the compressor of the pulsar to the metro stuff.

therwise adapt the metro compressor to the pulsar mounts... not to hard either hopefully.

1k air con... thats real cool. Almst as cool as my planned L18 air conned Lpg machine.

remember i have a E15ET. i was going to use a compressor from a pulsar (easy as to get and bolts right on) and source the rest from a newish wrecked car. maybe like a mazda metro. i recon i can fit all the guts of the metro aircon in the 1000? im just hoping the pulsar compressor can be used with the metro stuff.

If you contact one of the many Hot Rod retailers, they have access to all wonder of things, including air setups for a variety of aplications.

There is plenty of space under a 1k dash, and you might not have to use a knee freezer.

im doing the same thing for my 1200, go the full a seires set up except one line that im strugliing to find 2nd hand and too cheap to have made new at present.

1990's ce lancer condensor also is almost the same as a sunny one, tiny bit bigger but same connnections.

Good thing from my research is that i also have the L series compressor and brackets for when the L goes ahead, just waiting on the double crank pulley (no rush andy) That will be the hardest bit to find for a A series, and the compressor bracket.

girlfriend/wife in a old datsun, good in theory, but not good in practice. Its slow, its small, it doesnt have power steering, no aircon (then you get it and it doesnt have enough power), etc etc
I bid you good luck

I'm sure anything is possibe!

I swear i saw an airconditioner unit for an A-series on Ebay not that long ago, it had a picture of the unit that fits under the glovebox, not sure if it had the compressor and the complete kit though, i only had a quick look.

My mate bought a Hilux with a unit similar to the pic the sidedraught posted, he found out later on that that particular unit is an aftermarket set-up, and to buy a new complete set-up cost a fair bit, it was already in the car when he purchased it. It worked quite well! espeically if you were the passenger, it blew a cool breeze up your shorts!!
The only problem with it was because of where it's situated when we went shooting or up the bush on the 4WD tracks,i (being the passenger) used to always bash my knees and shins on the bloody thing! other than that it worked quite well

Speaking of air-con, how well do stock a12s run with an air-con unit in them? Are they rediculously slow? Or are they not that bad ie. they still move when you put your foot on the accelerator.
