Yeah they are reasonably reliable... But you have to do everything right first time around... Even then everything else around it usually falls apart

most reliable motor is a standard motor.... once you start doing mods you start to get reliability issues nearly every time

slot in a standard CA and it should be as reliable as a stock silvia....pretty good

start playing with it and you will get issues

the attraction to CA's is that stock power is big enough that hopefully you dont have to mod it and can still go fast......

but give it 6months and you will get used to the power anyway in any car.... and want more

not many people seem to be runiing stock turbos on CA'S???

I finally got my ute sorted out today It was the turbo, and I sent it out to get a quote to fix it and that came back at $1250. Was cheaper for me to buy a new GT2560R Ball bearing 320hp turbo. So I had a local shop put that on for me...
Picked her up this arvo and headed home, turned out that the vacuum line wasnt put onto the waste gate, and yeah the CA give a might kick at 20psi
Sorted that out and it is all good at the moment. The new turbo runs lower boost than the origional did. And just have to get a bit of pipe made up so i can fit the datsun water temperature sender into it as its massive

do not let it run low on water!
half hour normal driving should clear out all water in exhaust

If it us driven for a period of time and say it turns out being the head gasket, will driving it make it worse?

just did head gasket on supafattos car, took at least half an hour of running/driving to clear the water from the exhaust and then it stopped blowing white smoke

I will run it for a lap around the block tomorrow and get her warmed up a little... I was also thinking that there might be a bit of water/coolant sitting in the exhaust. All else fails I am really hopeing there is going to be a mechanic open tomorrow somewhere
