The area around the gearlever needs a bid of a mod, but the tunnel for the most of it is not bad, the S15 six speed will fit where a S14 5 speed will.

I could organise a 5 or 6 speed gearbox for you. It would be sequential and set you back a measly $20K or so. Pocket change really!

Better have a tunnel the size of a mac truck then for the 6 speed.

Its better boost your motor and let the torque do the talking
with a 4 speed. Even a T40 is awesome box with the dellows
bellhousing. 22kg and pretty much straight fit.

the other option is keep your 4 speed and get a better diff ratio or a shortened diff with a good highway ratio. Nothing wrong with a well spaced 4 speed.

nothing wrong with it as long as you're not worried about acceleration. a gearbox with decent ratios like S15 silvia six speed would be far better than anything except the exotic race only parts which you pay more for anyway. the added weight and frictional losses would be more than made up for by having decent gear ratios I reckon.

You could also go for a falcon borg warner diff shortened to 3.5 and then forget the 5 speed as t50 are getting as rare as a series 5 speeds.

the other option is keep your 4 speed and get a better diff ratio or a shortened diff with a good highway ratio. Nothing wrong with a well spaced 4 speed.

because of the cost behind putting a new engine in then getting it engineered and not to mention how both those motors use more fuel than my a14
