Hi deno, there are dozens of different filters you can use, even aside from the Nissan-recommend one.

To know the factory filter, you would have to tell use the model of your car and type of engine not just the year.

For an A-series engine (A12,A13,A14 or A15), see this list of dozens of compatible filters. If you have enough room in the engine compartment any of them will fit. If you have little room, get one of the smaller ones: datsun1200.com wiki - Oil filter

If anyone out there can please tell me the correct oil filter to put on a 81 model motor it would be great as we r unable to find it at our local parts dealers
