could be corosion in timing cover/water pump, coroded head??

Yeah i'f you've done a head gasket you will have a misfire when the car is first started. a bit of "milk" on the oil cap is caused by condensation of the air in the crankcase. nothing major to worry about, if you want though, get a new cork washer to put around the oil cap. and bend the legs a bit to make it seal tight.
but still try the compression and pressure tests. you could have blown a gasket...

Quote: its real milky on the bottom of the oil cap. Don't bother to pull the head off. Is there water on the dipstick too? If it is only on the bottom of the oil cap, it is a minor problem, with a different fix.

Oh, I thought you were being sarcastic (hence the ?!?!).
Def the head gasket.
EDIT: Had the exact same symptom with my old ute. Gasket was blown between 2nd and 3rd cylinder.

water in the oil, common things, corroded head, blown head gasket, cracked head, cracked block...
basicaly, comp test, cylinder leakage test, cooling system pressure test with the plugs out..
it will point you in the right direction...
