just cars may be the only option if it has mods, but depends on value of the ute. he might just want third party fire and thft till he gets a bit more $$$.

Try gio, they have their offshoot as well, as well as racq/racv/ract group.
Suncorp maybe too.

Young and cool is another one.

just car is whom i am with for my stagea. they are the only people who would insure a 21 yearold with a import. I have no accident history but was disqualified for 6 months. first year has to be paid upfront. i think it was about a grand. the next years you can pay monthly and it gets cheaper as time goes on.... if you dont have heaps of claims

I assume it has a towbar and will be doing all the towing duties?

On the insurance,Shannons claim in the latest CAMS manual that they give special rates to CAMS members and to ask.
I've not put it to the test,it may mean a higher price for all i know but it may be worth a call after you have a couple of others to play off each other.

My experience is, who ever the house is insured with, put all the cars with. The more policies for the one household the bigger the discount. Makes no difference who is the registered owner of the car as long as its garaged/parked at that location.

Hi guys
17 year old son has just bought a commodore ute(He will be getting kicked out of home and the will will be changed). He has to chase around for insurance. Any of you young blokes know of an insurance company that looks after the premiums a bit? He does have a claim against his name already
Thanks
Bob
