I know of a person that had just bashed them back with a hammer. Not something I'm willing to do personally of course. I've put up a wanted, so I'll wait on that for a day or two then bite the bullet with Nissan I guess.

I've never heard of anyone straightening any bent pushrods from any type of engine.

You can test them for straightness by rolling them on a small pane of sheet glass. Since glass is perfectly flat, you'll see instantly if they are bent even a little bit.

Thanks for that DD

Just called Nissan quoted the part# for the A14 pushrods and they're available for about $10.80AUD each.

I might hit up the classifieds section.

I've got a couple of bent ones from the weekend's accident, has anyone straightened them out and what would be the best way to do so?

A14/A15 blocks are about 3/4 inch taller, and so require pushrods just that much longer.

See Datsun1200.com Pushrods

Glad I saw this... Can I add another question...

Are you able to use A12 pushrods in an A14? or vice versa?
