Thanks for all the feedback. I am thinking that the stock dash with a refurbish job will do for now. Apart from that the department of war and finance caught wind of my plan

Smiths Instruments are one of the most expensive range or gauges on the market.

I had cheap $25 gauges in my last car and whilst these worked they were not that accurate and slow to respond.

I currently have Autometer Volt and Oil Pressure and VDO Speedo and Tacho.

Personally the Autometer are overpriced for what they are and are no better than the VDO units. The main down side to the autometer sport comp series in the illumination or lack of back lighting.

I would Go All VDO if I built the car again.

Go to summit racing in the states. I made up my full dash with autometer gauges, speedo, tacho, boost, oil, water temp and fuel level and it cost about $800 from memory even though the dollar was a lot better then. But they have a massive range of old style gauges like smiths ones and in my opinion they are one of the best mail order places going around.
