I see they've charged some piece of human garbage with lighting a fire or two. Man what they'll do to him will make that link look like a backrub at a health spa. and rightly so too!

A very upsetting situation.

As a foreigner I am very, very overwhelmed to see the response from the Australian people.

I have contributed. And I am guilty that I cannot afford to give more.

I lived through two Volcanic eruptions and the magnitude of the disaster is simply indescribable.

There were 25 000 people that had to flee. The entire town was flattened.

Of the 14 000 expatriates living there in 1994, there are now 13. The volcano is still erupting, google earth Rabaul and you'll see the devil spewing over my beloved town.

Anyway cut to the point. The one particularr thing I have in common with the victims is our promise to return, rebuild and rejuvenate.

It will happen in this situation. Rabaul however is desolate, with only six major businesses in operation.

I was glad to hear everyone here was OK but this is totally gutting............what they need to do to the SOB's that caused this is light them on fire, put them out, send them to the burn unit for numerous skin grafts, then after 2 years.......light them on fire again. It's hard to fathom what sort of sociopath would do this.
