good idea on the rivits. I would almost be tempted to go with welding to be sure... You just never know.

As far as the shrink limos idea, I reckon its a winner. I could offer my services as a driver. i could wear a suit and a peaked hat that I can pull down low ove rmy eyes. It would be so cool. I am sure that Daisy could pull relief work if needed too.!

with Evil Kenevil Dundee out there terrorising the neighbourhood in Wendy's twin, I am going to replace the number plate screws with big arse rivetts

On the upside we can clean up using the twin 4 doors for wedding cars and school balls.
What could be more cool than arriving in a pair of "shrink- limmos"

Judging by the signature remark about vtec stuff, would there be some truth with a swapsie from some random dude that lives remarkably nearby?

Logically we all need to have a modern POS for normal think-less numb commuting. I have a modern van that does the dirty things and gets treated to paranoid free commuting (eg. no worries about parking it somewhere busy and the rest)
When I want to enjoy driving the oldie comes out to play.

Unreal, cant believe that you sold the almost granny spec. It did have the kitchen table special under the hood. Did you every chuck on the twin webers that she deserved?
Is the new new home a member on this site, or new convert?

Still, I am sure that it has gone to a good home, or ELSE!

Now on the blue 4 door, well at least Daisy will have a friend, along with Wendy too. They can all have a chat together over a cup of tea and scones perhaps, and talk about what the neighbours are doing.

so often i see the victims and sufferers of the upgrade to plastic cars syndrome. There is something nostalgic and sensual about owning a classic and once its gone you become angry at the lack of soul and character these new performance cars have and soon start suffering the beginning of depression, anxiety that can lead to procrastination. The rawness and simplicity of old cars is too hard to live without. Especially in a complicated world with soul-less and heartless plastic conveniences dulling all your senses to complete boredom.

I'm exactly the same. The only "new" car I've owned was a sentra gt cup car. That was cool for a while but eventually I couldn't handle it anymore and just had to get another old car. I now have a b310 stocker sedan as a daily. Its slow but I love it
