Hoping is horsepower. It could be a combination of bad alternator, regular, earthing, other wiring problems, bad battery and engine bearings are too tight.

A new battery will probably fix it. Try swapping a different battery out of your other car as a test.

to check if your alternator is charging pull one of the leads off the battery and if the motor dies its not charging if it keeps chugging away its the battery!

it sounds like your alternator isn't charging your battery,
either your battery has dropped a cell and won't hold charge, or your alternator isn't working properly, once you've started the car the alternator should be charging the battery, if it isn't then it will cause the battery to flatten almost instantly. Change you battery and then see how you go.

you battery may have dropped a cell, get a new one... checked the fluid level in it?

sounds like my old battery i put new one in its worked fine ever since

possibly a bad earth somewhere. maybe

so i took the battery out of my 1200 charged it over night put it back in and it was sluggish the locks being a remote system were working i thought beauty jump in and the electrics will start up cd player etc but she simply will not start up and if she does after some time of trying she will run for literally 2 seconds and shut down and the charge light will appear i took the battery out to find it dead flat again.

obviously my battery is stuffed and im picking up another one today but is there possibly anything else that may be causing the issues??
