Sorry, I'm not sure what it is you haven't found? Sub rails or source causes for the rust. There can be many areas from where water gets into the rails. Check under vents under the windscreend wipers with a light and a mirror. Also there are drain holes in the rails if they are blocked then water can get in through where the rail meets the firewall but will not drain out. If water can sit in any spot then rust is inevitable.

As for finding new rails I don't know. I had to fabricate a whole new one with the help of the metal bashers where I work. I guess any engineering or sheetmetal workshop could make you one.

This is a common problem, my suggestion is to look for the cause of the rust as well. In both the utes I have done water had leaked through from the corner of the windsreen under the rubber seal and down into the chasis rails. The rails can be removed by drilling the spot welds. The car should be well supported so as it does not twist or warp. Then it is much easier to repair or fabricate a new part.

Hey....
how efficient are yor welding skills, do you have a mig ? i was in the same situation, dad and i are doing a 71 1200 ute, and the rails at the front and middle were rusted out. i have the car on a rotisserie and spun it on edge and it made all the difference.... if you have a pit or a lift it may be possible. i used a piece of 50x50 RHS and cut it on an angle, then welded and blended it all in on the remaining subrail. you could never tell if you had a look...........
if you pm me with your email adress i can send you some pics if you want = )
if you need any other help give me a yell
cheers Daniel
