I didn't think so... from the car serial number they can tell year, I dunno about the engine number.

A14 block, crank, pistons, etc are nearly all identical all years. The head and inlet manifolds are the big difference.

If you have the engine number most dealerships can look it up. They have a book with all the reference codes and can tell by the letter and number combo. They did that when i went for a blue slip. Try in the wiki to it has lots of A series stuff.

is there any ways i can look at engine number to see its from sunny pulsar or vannetteQuote:

Didn't some Vanettes (C20, C120) have A14s?
I think the A14 started showing up here around 79/80.

how can i identify what my a14 engine is out of.As i need to buy parts for it part numbers are diffrent for diffrent a14s.
