I have a set of 13x5.5 Fake Panasports. The have the same backspacing as the stock wheels. I use 165/65-13 tires which are a little bit wider and lower profile than the
stock tires. The overall diameter is the same.
The car is lowered about 1.5in f/r and nothing rubs. I'd like to use 185/60-13, but these would rub on the struts for sure.
Anyways, before i had a 5spd in my car I used 185/75-13 on a B210 13x4.5 wheel.

With stock suspension (no lowering), I managed to fit 225x60x13 at the back which rubbed the inner guards only on the hardest speed bumps.
The front was restricted to 205x60x13 but only by fitting a spacer disk (which I NEVER use when pushing the car really hard around corners) and by cutting a tiny bit of metal off the
front bottom of the guard lip.

Offset is vital because it is a measure of how far the centre of the wheel is from the brake hub.
I now have 2 sets of rims (and much changed suspension), 1 for racing with MASSIVE offset (and huge cutouts+flares in the guards) and a normal set with an ordinary offset which can
fit inside normal guards.

Find a friendly wrecker who will let you try out many different rims and tyres.
Play until happy or he throws you out.

Your tacho will NOT be affected because it only counts engines revs, not tyre revs.
Speedo will usually vary about 10% for 13 inch tyres.
I.e. when the speedo say 100km/h, you will really doing more like 110km/h.

If your car has been lowered at all, bigger tires can sometimes be a challenge to fit without rubbing. I've got 13x5.5" aluminum slotted mag wheels...the backspacing is wrong and they
stick out too far so I was forced to go with low profile tires 175/50-13's all around. Needless to say my speedometer is way off. The key to an accurate speedo is to try to keep the
overall diameter of the tire the same as the stock 12" setup. The bigger wheels you go with, the lower profile tires you're gonna have to use. I'd like to try some 14 inch 280ZX wheels and
185/195-60's all around. I don't know if 15 inch wheels will fit on a lowered 1200. It's a tough job sometimes trying to get the right tire/wheel combo but it can be done.

When spring rolls around here in the US and I have to change from snow tires, I was thinking of getting some larger wheels. Right now I'm with the standard 12" pizza
cutter tires. I would appreciate any input into pro's and con's, size suggestions, and what will happen to my speedometer, tachometer and odometer. thanks........
