I've done the 'rag mod' now too - much safer just in case workcover or the EPA come round...

my fuel setup was alot safer though...it had a rag on top of the fuel pump to stop any fuel escaping

Picked up a CA18DE recently. Wanted to test it before going to the trouble of trying it in the VB10 engine bay - so started it on the floor

The Wats finally arrived on the slow boat from NZ (read: I got them shipped over here for FREE on a pallet amongst some stock shipped between my work NZ office and Sydney office) - BONUS!

Turns out the NZ guy measured them wrong and the offset is exactly the same as the 6" Sunraysias in my pics - ie a perfect fit.

Scored some nice Yokohama 165/55/14 tyres from eBay too - $60ea BRAND NEW. They are within 5mm of the orig 12" tyre OD too. Will be wrapping them in black plastic and storing under the house for when the wagon is ready to drive again....

All the spare parts that the orig owner forgot to give me during pickup from Melbourne have arrived now too. Some very nice trims and chrome bits. Will get some pics up soon.

Also picked up a spare front and rear wagon windscreen/rubber/trim on ebay a couple of weeks back ($40 the lot). Great story, a mate of mine happened to be in Ipswich QLD for a high school reunion as the auction closed (thanks Facebook for the heads-up!) he picked up the screens and bought them to Sydney for me. How's that for perfect timing?!?!

D1KWags> Looks like the 6" Watanabe's have a 120mm backspace measurement, whereas the 6" wheels on the car now (the white steel Sunraysia style things) are 110mm - which has them sitting right on the front guard line with stock front camber. In comparison, the Wats should sit 10mm inwards (if what I've been told is correct) which means I'll actually gain some tyre clearance to the rolled guard edge . The wheels are about to be shipped over from NZ, so I should know for sure soon.

ive gotten 14x7s on the front of my coupe with minimal scrubbing so these wats should go straight on unless they are some queer offset

They are 14x6, not sure of offset, but from the pics they look to be same as what I orig had on my 510 coupe. If they don't fit the 1K, I'll just put em on the 1600 wagon.

Here's the mirrors. The front guards had the holes already in place, so I just screwed the mirrors on.
