Most bettery shops will test your battery acid and peak hold for free and tell you if it can be saved (charged and put back in) or if its time for a new one.

If your battery is ok get a 27socket onto the crank pully and try turn the motor over (clockwise) just a little by hand to verify all is ok inside the motor, if it doesnt turn over by hand your going to have to open the motor up. If it does turn over by hand and still wont start try tapping the starter motor with a small hammer (tap it dont hit it) and if it then starts up take your starter in for a rebuild as youll probably find the solonoid/bendix is old and worn out.
