cheers I was a bit of a cheep job I used a acrylic primer/filler gave it a rub down with 600 then 800 > masked her up again and gave her a 3 coats of 2pak I used paint called debeir with a fast hardner and a standard thinners .
its got a bit of dust in it but i did paint it in a fibreglass factory all up 3 litres of paint and other bits and pieces cost me about $400 so i cant complain just a bit of a rub and a buff and all should be good........

I just love that blue. It is so perfect for the 1k. Yeah I think I am decided on my colour now. The original baby blue is the winner.

Good stuff Geoff.

Two doors are great.

1000's are expensive when they are at this stage, seats are so hard to find and when you do find some they need upholstering. At least you'd know they last another few decades if you did go through with a complete new upholstery.

Good work on the paint job.

I think you should PM a guy called andy-roo (adelaide) he has just wrecked out a four door and he may still have the loom.

Chris

The other thing you'd have to do is the clutch arm. With my 1000 race car we used a 120y clutch cable & the piece the cable goes through from a 1200. This had been started by the previous owner & I just cleaned it up a bit. The only problem was that the 1000 firewall curved at this point & the 1200 part was straight. Just needed a bit of massaging of the 1200 part. Hopefully you have a hole in the transmission tunnel for the 120Y box.
