Random? Obviously it is done so that if the tire blows, no part of the car will drag on the pavement. Obsolete, perhaps.

what a random way to do ride height. so if you had some ridiculous low profile rubber, like next to nothing you could effectively have no ride height and still be legal? mine has to be 100mm off the ground (no exceptions) at the lowest point which means it'll never be legal, even the sills at 100mm is too high :D
maybe you should get some 13's and run something like 1 inch profile tyres? do you have formula ford racecars over there? open wheeler race cars wityh festiva engines or something? they run 13's and the front tyres are 6 inch wide and have at a guess 1.5 inch of profile, gets the 1200 so low when it's just tuckin a little bit of tyre. can pick up the tyres real cheap or even free coz the guys like to have a little edge so the buy new tyres so often.

Yea we have height laws the lowest point of the vehicle can't be any lower then the rim. Which means either I need to find some bigger steelies or actually upgrade to a different rim to go as low as I want. But I'm working on getting it lower as we speak. It's almost tucking 12 inch tire now but I still feel like I am getting nose bleeds from the altitude

i like the 2 tone paint man, the blue looks real good with the white. wouldn't look good as a race car i don't think but would look awesome as a cruiser style car, maybe even stockies polished up nice with whitewalls sorta thing ya know. oh and definitely needs to be super low to pull off the paint job, like max of 2 inches off the ground, and i mean the sills, not the exhaust where it hangs down, you guys don't have any laws regarding ride height etc. over there do ya?
