The engineer, i have chosen charged $270 for initial plan, and the total cert including lanechange and braking test etc... will be $880 (including the inital $270) this seem pretty resonable. will let everyone know how the tests go, Firts dyno on friday for a tune, and the engineer wants a readout.

Thanks for that info Datsun1000 and trb012, will be following it up.
I guess it pays to shop around for consult as $150 trb012 paid for initial consult is a big difference from the $350 I was quoted.

mine was $780 for everything but when he did the final print and write up he mixed up 3 measurements so i got pinged on it when i brought it up to him he denied the whole thing saying i made modifications. But it was actually not possible to have the measurements he set.

Just be careful that you know in your mind measurements as well.

Hey Wurzel,

vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme (VASS) is just a pretty name they give the Engineers, its what everyone refers too as an engineers certificate

Contact name and number please trb012!

Can anyone in victoria clarify what the difference between an engineer cert and a VASS is? I know they are pretty much the same thing, but seems strange that Vicroads would go on about them as if there were no alternatives...
