No no, this is the same setup. Not the one possum sold to rev.

It was in a coupe (maybe rusty and orange). And he had done work to the internals. Con-rods, pistons and all. The fella was setting it up for some pretty serious work.

It was a worwhile investment if you had the funds and money to progress.

The head and charger were only the candles on the cake.

ddgonzal may be able to help find the link.

It was quite well done, but incomplete and a loooong way from getting the engine to behave properly.

I'll do a hunt and see if I can find it.

The one I got off possum was an Eaton M90 off a 1991 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe and had a swept volume of about 1600cc. This one should be at least 30% larger but GM made so many different blowers that it is hard to tell which one it is. It may even be one of the ones off the old 3.0 litre diesels and might be smaller than it appears. Either way, on a 1200 it would have to be under driven a bit. Mine has since been sold off to the new owner of the 1200 that the blower came off.

The engine that was for sale with it, in the 1200 coupe, had some neat work done to it. He had to cut the bonnet (obviously) to fit everything in but it was an interesting project.

There is an extensive thread about it (or several) but, I don't know what you'd have to serach to find it.

It was one of those butcher the bonnet things but this was an exception in terms of engine building. Some hard work went into getting it together.

I know it wasn't finished when it was sold but it had to run on specific fuel or something.

i thought it would be way to big for an A-series, but you never know. I thought you would need a certain amount of horse power to even make it work, but if it was able to run the boost would be like a freaking hurricane!!!

It would take a bit to get running properly though, need a custom gilmer drive pulley and some decent 'braketry', enough to hold up a battleship i reakon!

How big is the blower that you aquired Revhead? smaller than this one surley? was that set-up ever running?

This thing has been bought and sold a few times and always looks the same. I would imagine that it would be totally overkill for a 1200 or even A15. But then again...
