Sounds good, cut to length. For my 1200 sedan, I used B310 2-dr sedan seal, it fits in there pretty close, no more leaks.

Hi DD,

I got some more info from Scott's. Their window seal rubber consists of clip on welting with tubular rubber molded directly on one side. It's sold by length and you have to fit it to the car. Look at part number 322.017 at Scott's catalog page 28

Datsun had fully molded rubber seals that were glued in and had welting clipped over the inside edge of the rubber seal over the pinch weld. The coupes and sedans had different seals because of the different window shapes.

After looking at the drawing in the catalog I think it will work. May not be a perfect replacement but it sure beats the dried out cracked seals that both of my sedans have. A friend needs the other 2 sets.

sylvia-specr, thanks for the offer. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that the coupes and sedans have the same side window setup, just slightly different shapes. What part of Vancouver are you in? A buddy of mine is going to paint his 2Dr sedan this coming weekend in Hazel Dell.

Type type of seal may be the same, but the seal itself is definitely different.

Hi all,

I need to know if the rubber used for the rear tip out quarter window seal is the same between the coupes and the 2Dr sedans. I'm pretty sure that both models use the same profile rubber on the tip out windows. I don't have a coupe to compare to my sedans though.

I've contacted Scott's and got a useless answer. Was hoping for a better answer considering I'm wanting to purchase enough rubber stock to redo the rear windows on 4 2Dr sedans.

Also, has anyone here used the bulk rubber that Scott's sells? How well does it work where you have to form the corners?

Thanks,

Gary
