if its only a floor its not 2 hard. i just did mine and ive only just taught myself how to weld. just use some 1mm zincaneil. it will take a whole weekend though (if u get stuck into it) if u just do 1 side at a time then it wont look so buchured and gives u confidence to do the others when u see what sorta good job uve done :P. remember its only a thin ass piece of metal :)

Mine is a daily drivers. 37 years old and counting.

I venture to say if you put a turbo motor in it, it will not be reliable.

thanks man. i just hope it'll be reliable enough for me to drive it as my everyday car. the guy only wants 500 for it and the outside body is very very solid., i mean i've seen work done on my cousins 64 impala super sport but he's only taking that car out maybe once a year. i jus wonder if i do that work, would it be reliable enough to drive daily. im also putting in a 13b turbo or 4g63 turbo in the car....lemme know if you guys out in aussie have parts or anything of that nature. thanks for the reply man, greatly appreciate it.

You get them from another 1200.
Or you can just fabricate them. There are no instructions. Most body shops know how to do it. Just buy a Chevy hood, cut and bend it and start welding.
