The ga14/15/16ds heads are twin cam and carburetted with no VTC so could be a good base for an a series race motor. Might be easier to find than the 12v one too

just easier than the twin cam version and all the value of the better 12v
setup which has better midrange and only 5% difference in all out top end
compared to the twin cam. The only issue is that Canada is the only place
I know of that had them in pulsars. The manifolds are no different to
the 16v ones supposedly.

Nice work D, interesting - maybe a better way to go to get EFI on an A series too!

Ive been looking at Ferals old threads and found that the Ga16de
head is quite close to matching the A series in every department
bar some oil drain holes and water holes then out of curiosity...
I started looking at headgaskets for the E15et and ga16de and although
the e series is easier to implement I then found the ga16i gasket
and found its probably easier.
That would mean single camshaft running 2 inlets and one outlet.
Similar to the ka24de and variable tri-flow camshafts possible.
Here is a link to a 20hp camshaft upgrade step by step to view the motor.
nissanforums.com 12v camshaft upgrade

Then the gaskets - although chain driven the g16i 12valve is simpler than
the ga16de 16v below
