It was truely awesome cars,i watched a few clips that had the S1 audi in,Man that has to be one of the best sounds that a car has ever made!!! 600HP!!!

I was watching some other videos from pikes peak and the drives are more than happy to hang a front inside wheel off the road (ie off the cliff). I rekon you could drive it faster at night, without the view, because you wouldn't be so bloody scared!

Back on topic, I was talking to Stuart Wilkins about the size of the water pump pulley on my a15, because it's tiny. He rekoned that is only necessary for the speedway guys who take them over 8k. He recommended I put the big orignal pulley back on and that I shouldn't rev it past 7500.

it's awesome for 20yrs old..
you can hear the tyres getting soggy about half way up.. the revs come on with no effect and the one handed bit is out there..

Yes Racetech is right on the last gymkhana we did together that was the biggest problem our smaller cars faced.

In the case of sparkyza and myself, the higher the rpm the better, some may disagree with me, let me explain, Our gymkhana tracks are quite tight, If I approach the next braking point, but is 10m from it, it is no use to up shift to 2nd, but an extra 500rpm, useful or not is better than sitting on a rev limiter. That 500rpm may not make power, but is enough to carry me to the braking point, saving time to down shift again for the exit of the corner.

Probably a cheaper option would be to run on 14" Semi slicks at the back, this will give me longer legs, but then until I get to the next track where that 10m from the braking point scenario come up again, that 500rpm would be nice.

and a cam that makes power to 10,000 rpm prolly wont be drivable on the street,, would have the choppiest idol and would need some revs to get going..

I would check the valve springs.
There are a couple of guys on this site that use GX valve springs and run 8000rpm.

Just remember. Your cam must be able to give power at these rpm's. It is no use going there if you don't make power there. Also, your engine will need balancing to be reliable at these revs.
