i did them myself...pretty easy to do, they are normally just the solenoid gane(cantacts) they usually cost a couple of bucks and then take the thing apart and clean it out, repaint then its like new again. This is good as long as the motor hasnt gone thou which you can test with it apart

As a rough guess you're probably lookin around the $400-600 range for a new one... u may be able to get your one reco'd if its not burnt out inside, and also depending on the cost of parts. id imagine you would be looking around 300 to recondition your one.

dont quote me on that, im not 100% sure

hi my starter motor shat itself today, would i be better buyin a new one or getting my one reconditioned. Any ideas on price? its for a ca18de cheers.
