Subarus are another 2 headed engine with issues.
The old brumbys where good but ever since they
changed to belt driven flat fours cost of servicing
goes through the roof.
Serenas are compact, simple and affordable.
A good Datsun people mover would be a vanette with an A15.
Once simplicity goes out the window complex issues arise
Isnt simplicity the reson we love datsuns?

hahaha i agree
You should get a 260c family wagon then it would be datto and massive.
Also a mate works at a big engineering shop and this guy brought in a bent ram (big ram!) off a car crusher and they got talking and he asked him what was the toughest car to crush and after a bit of thought he goes " those bloody datsun 260c's!"
safety, check!

big complicated motors with 2 heads that every so often do a head gasket are not my cup or tea but love this wagon if it had a reliable neo sr20de or qr20de.

A kei van is good though.
