Here's a pic for you today. The driver's coupe seat is in the most-upright position. There is over an inch of room between seat-back and wall.

i think he means when in a position he can sit in (such as is your driver seat on the back ground at its most vertical or is it reclined 1 or 2 clicks for comfort

how about someone who has a coupe with stock seats :). yes they go forward too and very far back. This is the best picture I have and it doesn't show the seat all the way forward I believe it will actually touch the steering wheel. The only problem I would see is that you would want to take out the head rests, as they protrude forward.

Compared to 'fixed' sedan seats I don't know. But I now have a pair of coupe seats in my ute. They can be locked in many positions including pretty much straight up.

i thought they were more reclined than sedan seats, or similar.

you might want 1200 ute seats, slimest and most upright posture correcting torture devices i have ever used.

Thanks DD, but would you say the coupe seats are able to sit more up right then locked sedan seats? or wouldnt you know sweeing as you have a 2dr

Coupe seats are fully adjustable for rake. At least all the ones I've seen are. From straight up/down to reclining, you can lock it in place by pushing the lever down. Pull the lever up to flip the seat forward.

they have slight adjustability backwards, not forwards from memory (its that long since i used stock seats in a datsun, even my short lived coupe)

Hey there light chassis datsun fans!

Im trying to fit some 1200 sedan seats into my 1000 ute.

Ive made up brackets they fit etc but my delema is that the angle of the back of the seat doesnt allow me to push the seat back any further then all the way foward as they are touchiung the cabin rear wall.

My question is, Do 1200 coupe seat brackets ( the brackets attatching the back of the seat to the base) adjust the back of the seat angle or just flip them foward for passaanger access? If they do adjust foward then i will be on the hunt for said brackets !

I dont know how much of this quiery made sense but if any one could help i would be stoked!
