In 300k km my A14 received a new petrol pump, minor motor rebuild, pair of rear shocks, yip that is about it, oh and i busted the role pin on the selector shaft when I tried to force, slap, moered it into second when I did a burnout.

It is tough, my work on the Datsun only started once I decided to make modifications.

I've slapped a few bunky 12's together, and touch wood, they hang together,
with mountains of abuse and neglect, ACL re-ring kits all the way.. ha ha

Now one really knows how much abuse a stock A12 can take: back in the 70's a crack team of commando's attempted to do one in.......................most of the commando's went missing but search and rescue found the only survivor in a FIAT showroom in a pool of his own urine curled up in a ball sucking his thumb and murming...............

I'm racing motorkhanas, khanacrosses, supersprints, and doing bulk km with delivering and general getting to work stuff with my A12 at the moment till I finish my A14. I expected the ringlands to crack like the 14 but nothing of the sort has happened yet. I have broken a 56A box by flatshifting once, however it took at yeast a year or two before it actually let go during an attempted burnout. The bbalance shaft bearings let go and teh gears wanted to jump all over the place. it was still drivable though.
