The sprint is on the 14th and 15th, they want people to show they have competed in at least one other supersprint this year before entering. It's $350 for the two days.

Ah ok cool thanks for that, just wanted to make sure all was well 'cause i'm going to be making the trek down to phillip island in november for the australian supersprint titles and didn't want to have any dramas while down there, not to mention the sprint at oran park tomorrow. Cheers fellas.

old rule of thumb used to be 10psi for every 1000rpm it peaked at. They'll almost all pump enough from idle to about 2500rpm to be safe, but what the 'aim' is is for example if you redline/shift gears at 7000 rpm you'd want 70psi peak oil pressure. There's not a lot to be gained beyond around 80psi, infact it just strains the pump and costs a hp or two. It's generally only engines where the oil pump drive system is dodgy and prone to breaking (and then delivering zero oil pressure) that anyone aims below that rule of thumb. Off the top of my head, grey motor holdens, and hemi 6s - both of which tended to be fine with under 55psi oil pressure and higher rpm

my L18 used to get up to about that i think, maybe more like 60-65psi and was around 25-30 on idle i think

CA was over 100psi then spun a big end bearing lol

Does anyone know what the maximum oil pressure is supposed to be on a standard A15? My racecar is getting up towards 70 psi which i feel is a bit too much. I pulled the relief valve out today and it all seems fine, even pulled the spring out of another pump to compare, it was the same. Maybe it's just my gauge reading wrong.
