Well I could be wrong on what car the H165 came out of. The person I got it from said it came from a 411. But for sure the one I pictured had a bigger axle over the H150.

I have not had a chance to take the differential apart. But this one that I bought has a larger center pumpkin with 10 fastener studs over the H165 that only had 8. The H165 came out of a mid 1960's 411 sedan. Here's what the H165 looked like.

The axles on this one were definitly bigger in diameter over the H150 that I broke earlier this year.
I pm'd Sidedraught and he confirmed that the roadsters came with the H190. The rear diff just looks bigger over all. I would be surprised if the axles were the same diameter.
I'll have it apart shortly to take a look.

I dunna believe it. On the other hand I guess you could say the H165 did not break, but only the axle break. Did your assembly use 21, 28 or 31 spline axles?

Some said I would never do it but it happened. I snapped my H165 on a launch off the line yesterday. I broke the left side axle. Things keep breaking on me. The A14 motor ran similar times as the A15. I got about 6 runs in that afternoon but when we went to the trophy round, it snapped in my first heat race.
I pretty sure that welding the H165 spider gears and applying all that torque with the supercharger and nitrous just over powered it.
I am actually happy it did. Next year I am moving up to the NAPZ24 motor and it would have happened for sure. Now I can rip the whole thing out from front to back and start fresh.
I am going to pick up a H190 today form Oliver at Z-Specialties.
Z Specialties
Its nice that he is only 5 miles down the road. He happens to have one out of a 1970 Roadster.
All in fun!
