It wouldn't be so bad if they were similar to the front flares, but it unbalances the car, drags the eye straight to the problem so it makes what is a sweet looking car not quite right, even if the rear tyres were wider. The rest of the car is great, & the photo is brilliant. What he could do is to use the front flares on the back, then duplicate the front flares.

Rally cars of the era offten had seamingly excesiv flares, waybe to minimise spray or something?

I read where he made the grille himself out of some stainless square tubing. And they said the same about needing wider rear wheels.
