Yes, it is best to use a Socket to remove the old sender. But a closed-end wrench works too.


If you with to connect the oil gauge line, and the sender, you can use a plumbing "T" like this:

Remove your old sender unit from your oil pump and screw in the line/fitting for your mechanical oil guage then just follow the instructions ( If any!)
Your standard oil light will not work any more though, if this is a problem you might need a "T peice" fitting so you can connect both.

With a mechanical oil pressure gauge, there is no sender. The gauge is connected directly to an oil passage.

Hi Giys

Just looking for a Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge, Can any one tell me from this Sendor , to which side the oil pressure gauge should be connected for this Pics attached, how it is calculating the pressure through a pipe line ? if so how to connect it ? i got pics i don't have tool to decrease it's size can any one help me pls
